Swastha NavJeevan Programme
HCHR is the flagship programme of Swastha NavJeevan — “Healthy New Life” — created by Bhaktivedanta Ayurvedic Healing and Research Centre (BAHRC), ISKCON Navi Mumbai.
A free, evidence-informed supportive-care retreat for cancer patients, caregivers and survivors. Nutrition, mind-body practices, art, music and meaning-centred care come together alongside conventional oncology support.
The flagship programme
Healing the whole person—with knowledge, compassionate guidance and meaningful practices alongside medical care.
The Holistic Cancer Healing Retreat (HCHR) is the flagship programme of Bhaktivedanta Ayurvedic Healing and Research Centre (BAHRC), delivered through its cancer-support initiative, Swastha NavJeevan.
HCHR brings evidence-informed supportive care, AYUSH-rooted wellbeing practices and timeless Vedic wisdom into one structured retreat. It is designed to help cancer patients, caregivers and survivors regain calm, dignity, resilience and meaningful direction during and beyond cancer.
The programme looks beyond the diagnosis to support the whole person across four connected dimensions—Body, Mind, Intelligence and Consciousness—while participants continue their prescribed oncology care.
HCHR is complementary supportive care and does not replace conventional cancer treatment.
Support for every stage
HCHR welcomes people directly affected by cancer and those who walk beside them, offering relevant guidance for each experience.
For people undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment who seek supportive guidance for physical wellbeing, emotional calm and renewed strength.
For those supporting a loved one through cancer, with practical understanding, self-care guidance and tools for steadier compassionate support.
For people rebuilding life beyond treatment and looking to strengthen healthy routines, confidence, resilience, purpose and long-term wellbeing.
Whole-person supportive care
Cancer can affect far more than the body. HCHR brings four connected dimensions into one guided experience so that care recognises the complete person behind the diagnosis.
Supporting physical wellbeing through appropriate nutrition, movement, restorative sleep and sustainable lifestyle routines.
Helping participants respond to fear, stress and emotional fatigue through guided mindfulness and mind-body practices.
Strengthening clarity, reflection and conscious choice through knowledge, creative expression, art and music-based practices.
Nurturing identity, meaning, purpose and hope through inclusive contemplation and meaning-centred guidance.
The Swastha NavJeevan framework
Three connected outcomes translate whole-person care into a practical path for living with greater strength, resilience and meaning during and beyond cancer.
2H
Building a stronger physical foundation while restoring confidence in everyday wellbeing.
2R
Renewing emotional and cognitive capacity so participants can meet uncertainty with greater calm and steadiness.
2L
Reconnecting with purpose and meaningful living while carrying retreat learning into life beyond illness.
Each outcome strengthens the others—forming one continuous path of supportive care.
